WSA World Championship Sprint & MD – Cancelled
WSA WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS SPRINT AND MID-DISTANCE 2026 IN ROTUNDA GATE/ ROMANIA CANCELLED
Based on the current conditions and the weather forecast for the week ahead, we cannot guarantee the safety of the trails in Rotunda Gate. Putting the well-being of our dogs first, the World Sleddog Association (WSA) as host and the Attila Kiss and his team as organizers took the difficult decision to cancel the WSA World Championships Sprint and Mid-Distance 2026, which were due to take place in Rotunda Gate from 5 – 8 February 2026.
As the weather forecast for the coming weeks is too uncertain, the Championships will not be rescheduled.
We would like to thank Attila Kiss and his team for all the hard work that they have put into organising our Championships. We are as disappointed as they are that the weather gods didn’t allow us to go ahead and showcase this beautiful part of the world to the wider sled dog community.
